The Write Track ("we", "us", or "our") operates a web application that helps writers track their literary submissions, manage their writing portfolio, and monitor publication responses (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you register, we collect your name and email address. This identifies you within the Service and allows us to communicate with you about your account.

Content you create. You may choose to store information about your writing, including story titles, synopses, word counts, submission records, market and competition details, query letters, and personal notes. You control what you enter, and this content is associated with your account.

Usage data. We automatically collect basic technical information such as device type, browser, and approximate location, as well as logs of how you interact with the Service, to keep the Service secure and to improve its features.

Billing information. If you purchase a subscription, payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not store your full card details on our servers; the provider handles that securely.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features;
  • Personalise your experience and display your data back to you;
  • Process subscription payments and manage your account;
  • Send you service-related notifications and respond to your support requests;

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Writing groups. Content you choose to share within a writing group you join or create is visible to other members of that group, as part of the Service's collaborative features.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time through the Manage Account page in the app. Some information may be retained in backup systems or where we are legally required to do so.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

7. International Data Transfers
